This page will be used to make mock drafts for every Raider draft pick as their situation changes during the rest of the offseason.
Mock Draft
1st Round – Sedrick Ellis – DT
Even though the defensive tackle situation already addressed with the signing of Tommy Kelly, the Raiders should look to further solidify the defensive line. The Raiders were horrible against the rush last year and Ellis will take up double teams, freeing the linebackers to make plays. If drafted he can be an immediate starter.
2nd Round- Traded to the Atlanta Falcons for DeAngelo Hall
3rd Round- Traded to New England for the rights to draft Mario Henderson last year
4th Round- Anthony Collins – OT
The Raiders need some depth at the tackle positions and Collins could blossom into a starter at left tackle. He is perfect for the zone-blocking scheme and has great size for the position.
5th round- Traded to Denver for Gerard Warren
6th round- Kendall Langford – DT/DE
Kendall Langford is from Hampton in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference and has great size and versatility to play both defensive line positions. He was also named Division I FCS Preseason All-American. The fact that he is from a small school could enable him to fall this far.
7th round pick 1- Thomas Williams- LB
Williams backed up all three linebacker positions at USC and would be a great backup to our linebacking corp.
7th round pick 2 – Todd Blythe – WR
While wide receiver is not such a pressing need for the Raiders, Blythe could be a great value pick in the seventh round. He has great size at 6’4 and can run the 40 in the 4.5-4.6 range. He is a possession receiver who could help in short yardage situations.
